World Champs are over now and the life goes on like normal. In those World Champs my GS position was 17. what is just out from my goal (min top 15) and in slalom I had a pretty good run on the first run (15.), but on the second run I hooked a gate and it was all over! Well life goes on! This week I had time to rest a little bit. I had from monday untill wednesday time to take easy and it was great! Then yesterday I already raced Europa-Cup GS in Monte Pora, Italy. First run I had bad luck. I hit a stone and broke my ski. Still made it to the finish and was 25th after first run. Second run I gave it all and had the best time! Final results I ended up to pretty decent 4th place! Now I’m ready for the rest of the season and now we will make results!

Regards from France! Yesterday I arrived here and I have to say that, it was a long drive from Austria. It has been pretty windy here and also some new snow, wich they are trying to take out from the race slope at the moment! Tomorrow is ladies GS-race and then on friday is men’s GS. It will be difficult to get any slope training before the race, because of the new snow. On the other hand we have had our good traning in Austria, so couple days without skiing can be also pretty good for the race! Lets hope that the contitions will be good tomorrow and our ladies Tanja and Sanni are ready to fight over good positions in the race!

Tiukka kuukausi pujotteussa on takana ja vaikeuksien kautta Garmischin pujottelusta hienot Cup pisteet mukaan! (sijoutus 21.) Nyt olenkin jo La Molinassa ja täällä on siis tarkoitus laskea Europa-Cupin suurpujotteluja 3. Ja 4. päivä ja sitten vielä 6. Päivä Andorrassa yksi suurpujottelu. Sunnuntaina heti Garmischin kisan jälkeen siis hyppäsin Barcelonan koneeseen ja Barcelonasta ajelin yötä myöten vuokra-autolla kohti La Molinaa. Matka kävi siinä vaiheessa hieman mielenkiintoisemmaksi, kun vesisade vaihtui lumeksi, alkoi nousu tänne vuorelle ja huomasin, että tiellä on lunta. Alla tietenkin kesärenkailla varustettu etuvetu räppänä! Siinä joutui kyllä miettimään tarkkaan ajolinjat, koska pysähtyä ei voinut, koska muuten matka tyssäisi siihen! Onneksi viimeiset 5km oli juuri aurattu ja pääsin kuin pääsinkin perille, vaikka hotellin pihalle jäinkin jumiin! Uutta lunta on siis tulut jonkun verran ja se ei ainakaan helpota näitä kisoja täällä. Toivottavasti lumisade loppuu pian ja päästäisiin laskemaan kisat hyvissä olosuhteissa. Täältä suuntaankin jo sitten treenaamaan Itävallan suuntaan ja sieltä matka jatkuu kohti Ranskaa ja Val D’ Iseren MM-kisoja!

Hello all the ski fans and happy New Year to all of you! Here in Adelboden was the last GS race before the World Championships and I did get some points which is good. After the first run I was in place 30. and second run was 7.th fastest and that took me the place 25. in the final results. We also had a slalom race, which was a disappointment for me because I went out on the first run! I need more practise on my slalom and then we’ll be ready to make some results on that one too! I’m going to be really busy with all the races for next month cause I’m doing all the Europa Cups and World Cups in both SL and GS, but I like racing so I’m ready!
Alkukausi oli todella värikäs kisojen suhteen. Tuli hienoja onnistumisia ja myös karvaita pettymyksiä. Hienoin asia on kuitenkin se, että laskussa riittää vauhtia hyvin ja laskemisesta nautin erittäin paljon! Joulun aika on perinteisesti rauhoittumisen aikaa ja sitä se on minullekin ollut. 27. päivä lähdenkin jo taas reissuun ja treenien pariin! Uusi Vuosi vaihtuu Keski-Euroopassa ja seuraava kisa on Kroatian Zagrebissa 6.1.2009
